New Collection of “Positively Inspiring” Apparel and Accessories debuts at New York Gift Show, January 30 – February 4
Weston, CT (PRWEB) January 29, 2010 -- Wouldn’t It B Nice? LLC makes its debut at the New York International Gift Fair at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center in New York City, January 30 – February 4, 2010, Booth #1025, where it will launch its 2010 collection of positively inspiring apparel and accessories.
Wouldn’t It B Nice?™ is a spirited brand created by founder and optimist, Carrie Wittenstein, of Weston, CT. Her vision for creating a culture of kindness by spreading messages of positivity and possibility is expressed through a lively assortment of graphic T-shirts, hoodies, embroidered bags and BPA-free drinkware. Each piece in this family-friendly collection is marked by bold, saturated colors and graphics featuring the company’s signature “b” — shorthand for the WIBN philosophy which was inspired by the Gandhi quote “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” and is a nod to Wittenstein’s son, Ben, who was born with a rare brain energy metabolism disorder called GLUT-1DS.
Some of the messages featured in the 2010 collection include b a sport™, b huggable™, b @ peace™, b what makes life nice™, b what makes a difference™, b happy™ and b inspiring™.
“Think of Wouldn’t It B Nice?™ as a messenger of kindness. Every time you put on one of our shirts, carry our bags, drink from our mugs or water bottles, you’re reminded to “B” your best self and share it with the world,” Wittenstein says. “Well-being… optimism… compassion… These are not ideas meant to be held onto… the power is in passing it on. That’s what Wouldn’t It B Nice? is all about. Inspiration to wear, kindness to share.™” Wittenstein’s desire to “pass it on” is also a design element featured on most products in the collection.
Before founding Wouldn’t It B Nice?, Wittenstein spent twenty years working as copywriter, creative director and brand consultant. But being the mother of two boys was the experience that fueled her desire to put her creativity to work to make a difference. “Every day, I am challenged to live up to my own mantra. To be patient and compassionate. To model kindness and generosity. My hope is that Wouldn’t It B Nice? merchandise, in some way, inspires people of all ages to be mindful of how their way of b-ing can really make a difference.”
Wouldn’t It B Nice? proudly supports the Colleen Giblin Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on finding new treatments and cures for children with cancers and neurological diseases, including GLUT-1DS.
